After almost a decade in the video and television industry, I hung up my producer hat and embarked on a career in education. Using my industry experience, I created an award-winning video production program at El Diamante High Schoolin Visalia, CA. By involving students in real-world video projects, they garnered awards and recognition at the local, state, and national level. With experience producing local television and industrial videos for non-profit organizations, many of my former students now work in the industry.

As a Google Certified Innovator, Apple Distinguished Educator, Google Education Trainer and Apple Certified Trainer, I have worked with schools around the globe leading professional development workshopson topics that include Using Video for Social Change, Cinematic Narrative Techniques, Encouraging a Creative Student, Google in the Classroom and much more. Today, I am an Educational Technology Consultant and work with clients like Google, Apple and dozens of educational departments.

As a keynote speaker, I have motivated audiences around the word. Customized for large conferences like IDEAcon, formerly the ICE Conference in Chicago, to school and district-wide events, my keynotes a fun mixture of humor, storytelling and a pragmatic approach to education.  Take a look at my Keynote page for titles, descriptions, and examples from past talks and let me know how I can help your students and teachers.

In 2012, I was featured on Edutopia and their Teach2Learn series for my work in Building Career Skills in Video Production. I was also awarded The Computer Using Educator (CUE) Outstanding Teacher Award in 2009 and nominated for the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Outstanding Teacher Award.
