After almost a decade in the video and television industry, I hung up my producer hat and embarked on a career in education. Using my industry experience, I created an award-winning video production program at El Diamante High School in Visalia, California, USA. By involving students in real-world video projects, they garnered awards and recognition at the local, state, and national level. With experience producing local television and industrial videos for non-profit organisations in my class, many of my former students now work in the industry.

As a Google Certified Innovator, Apple Distinguished Educator, Google Education Trainer and Apple Certified Trainer, I have worked with schools around the globe leading professional learning workshops on topics that include Using Video for Social Change, Cinematic Narrative Techniques, Encouraging a Creative Student, Google in the Classroom and much more. As the director of Global Development at EdTechTeam, I created events that supported technology investments in education and enterprise . More importantly, I learned the importance of differentiating my work to best fit how people learn across the globe.

As a keynote speaker, I have inspired audiences around the world. Customised for large conferences like IDEAcon to school and school events, my keynotes are a fun mixture of humour, storytelling and a pragmatic approach to education.

In 2012, I was featured on Edutopia and their Teach2Learn series for my work in Building Career Skills in Video Production. I was also awarded The Computer Using Educator (CUE) Outstanding Teacher Award in 2009 and nominated for the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Outstanding Teacher Award.

Over the past decade, I have worked with teachers on all seven continents on how to incorporate technology, video and design, media literacy and more in their classrooms. Today, I base out of Melbourne, Australia and continue my professional development work as the owner of Deploy Learning, a professional learning company working with global brands and ANZ education institutions.
